Windows: Using an Apple USB SuperDrive from the Equipment Checkout Center (ECC)

How to install the Apple driver (attached) for Windows in order to use the Apple USB SuperDrives available for checkout from the ECC.

If you have a Windows computer and need to check out a USB optical drive from the ECC, you will receive an Apple SuperDrive.

In order to use it, you will need to install a driver.

 

1.  Please click the link in the "Attachments" window below to download the driver installer:
2.  Once you have done so, run the installer.
3.  Plug the SuperDrive into a USB-A port on your computer. (You may need an adapter to get from USB-C on your computer to the USB-A of the SuperDrive. If you have a Carleton-provided machine you may already have an adapter available to you.) If you need one, adapters are available from the ECC.
